BioTE Hormone Pellet Therapy

Ever since opening her office in late 2007, Dr Wood has offered bio-identical hormone therapy for both women and men, in the form of traditional prescription medicine as well as compounded medications. However, in 2013, after she completed training in BioTe, Dr Wood began to also offer bio-identical hormone pelleting as an option to meet the needs of hormone insufficiency. BioTe is a time-proven method of bio-identical hormone therapy using patented pellets that are inserted just beneath the skin in the fatty tissue of the hip on a 4-6 month basis. Since its inception, our patients have responded enthusiastically to BioTe treatment and provided positive reviews on their results.

BioTe therapy provides a consistent level of hormone delivery, which mimics normal physiology. Besides allowing us to better treat the post-surgical and naturally occurring menopausal estrogen deficiencies in women, we are now able to better address the common deficiency of testosterone many women experience, sometimes as young as their 30s.
